From player, manager and chairman, Pavs leaves a wonderful legacy......

Club Chairman, James Paviour, has announced his decision to stand down after 5-years in the role. 'Pavs' has been an integral part of the recent history of the club and oversaw an Essex Olympian Premier Division title win back in the 2017/18 season.

As a player, he was between the post's 80 times (inclusive of 7 outfield sub appearances) scoring one goal.

From a leading first team player he took on the role as manager, taking over from Lewis Dallas in August 2014 overseeing 131 games, winning 100 and losing just 19 over the course of 5 seasons. In those five seasons, he guided Catholic United to 3 successive promotions, from the Essex Olympian League Division 3 to the Premier, culminating in winning the EOFL Premier Division at the first attempt. That title winning season saw the side lose just 3 matches!

From the managers seat to the Chairman's seat next as Pav's helped stabilise matters off the pitch. Catholic United have become a firm EOFL Premier side and one that clubs never, truly, like to play against!!
