The Essex Bhoys bounced back from a heavy defeat to record a clinical victory at Harold Wood Athletic. The Wood had started the season with two wins, home victories against Leigh Ramblers and a well fancied Runwell Sports side with a superb 5-2 win. They were sent crashing down to earth following a 6-1 home defeat to new boys ACD United, so this fixture was also about bouncing back!
If you had turned your back from kick off, you would have missed the opening goal. A long ball from the back for Wood found Wells and Clark deciding who was going for the ball, for the forward to steal a march and ping the ball over the back-tracking Wells.
United got back into the game with more possession and pressure, so it was no surprise that an equaliser came as soon as it did. Tom Elliott won the ball back in midfield which found Frank Craik, and it was his ball across the fa
