2 Penalties and a last minute goal cost Catholic the chance to cement second place in Division Two East. In a game that saw both sides mislaying passes, finally sprung to life after 22 minutes when Tyron Sexton played a lovely defence splitting pass for Jamie O'Donnell to latch on to and put Catholic ahead. The lead lasted just 9 minutes when Pavillion were awarded their first of two penalties, Darren Conway was harshly adjudged to have pushed his opponent, there seemed minimal contact, but the ref pointed to the spot and Pavillion were level. Four minutes after the break a goalmouth game of pinball eventually saw Matt Salter crash home to restore the Hoop's lead. After 68 minutes Pavillion were awarded their second penalty as confusion between Paul Wheeler and keeper Jason Pye allowed the Pavillion forward to get in and he was blocked off by Wheeler and again the ref pointed to the spot. 2-2. As the game ticked into the 90th minute, a rare goalkeeping error from Pye hand the points to Pavillion, Pye failed to deal with a Wheeler back pass and gave the ball straight to the Pavilion attacker who had the whole goal to aim for and duly smashed home.
