Opening day for Catholic United Sunday First today as they faced opponents Bellevue wanderers.

Being a young side there were a lot of senior football debuts today.

Catholic started very strong playing good football but struggled to get past the Bellevue keeper in the opening 20 minutes. However, the hard-work and good football paid off eventually as Catholic scored 3 goals in relatively quick succession just before half-time.

Bellevue started the first 10 minutes of the second half the better of the two sides with an early goal, as they fought well to attempt a comeback. However, very quickly Catholic regained control of the game with lots of possession resulting in a number of great chances on goal. Catholic added another 3 to the score line in the second half, comfortably winning the game 6-1.

Very promising start to the season for Catholic as with more experience the side can only improve and get better.
