Biggest game of the season so far, against top of the league was always going to be a tough challenge. We started well for the first 15 mins but didn’t quite capitalise on our pressure. We let them get more of a hold of the game and gave away some unnecessary free kicks.They got a free kick on left side of the pitch, This was whipped in to back stick, one of their players played it back across the box whilst pushing Tommy in the back , which the ref saw and didn’t spot it and only for their striker to tap it in to an open net.

Half time 1-0 down and time for the “Sincs manager “ to work his magic.

As the second half started we took back hold of the game more and were playing the ball around their midfield, we were awarded a foul on the edge of the box during an attack and a free kick was given. Will stepped up confidently to the free kick and hit it over the wall hitting their defenders arm leading to a penalty to us, Teejay stepped up to the penalty spot , which they kept on saying it’s not on the spot !!! Trying to distract the Skipper, and sent the keeper the wrong way and scored making it 1-1.

They managed to string some passes together leading to a pass into the box and Tommy made a clean tackle on a forward and cleanly took the ball , but the ref had given a penalty to them. Their striker steps up and Owen Gets told bounce the crossbar then makes an amazing save, their player follows us and misses on the rebound skying over from 6 yards.”taxi”

We start to play our football again and Chris plays a ball over the top to Will and he comfortably finishes it into the far corner from the keeper to change the game. We needed to maintain our composure and push on knowing the next goal is key. Soon after the restart Mechack and Will put a good move together to pressurise the back line, they won the ball Back but it was intercepted by Will and squares it across to Mechack who calmly controlled the ball and slotted passed the keeper to seal the game, celebrating by shushing the opponents for the amount of stick they was giving us the whole game.

A difficult game against a strong opposition and we showed our strength and team spirit pulled us through for another deserved victory.
